Smart DCC operates the secure national data network to support the roll-out and operation of 53 million energy smart meters in homes and businesses across the UK – making Britain more connected so we can all lead smarter, greener lives. With over 30 million homes and businesses set to use smart gas and electricity meters by 2024, DCC has a key role to play in supporting delivery of the UK’s commitment to Net Zero.
As one of the most ambitious, challenging and exciting projects of its kind in the world, the building of the smart meter network will be a catalyst for the most significant, expansive and innovative changes to the energy sector in decades. This smart metering network will help make Great Britain a global leader in smart energy.
There is significant focus on the large strategic change programmes mandated by UK government and Ofgem, driving for the next generation of comms hubs and networks is a significant challenge and sensitive with both government and our customers.
As part of DCC’s Contract Management transformation, DCC is looking for an experienced contracts professional to manage its £6Bn 3rd party contracts over the next decade. You will be leading a team of 20 highly capable contract managers in pursuit of ensuring a step change in cost base over next 3 years.
The ideal candidate will have senior leadership experience in managing high value and complex contract negotiations and setting high standards of contractual governance. Excellent at senior stakeholder management across public and private sectors. You will be people focussed and able to demonstrate a track record of team empowerment and development.
