The Royal Navy currently operates a fleet of Trafalgar, Astute and Vanguard Class nuclear powered submarines, the latter of which are responsible for maintaining the UK’s continuous at sea nuclear deterrent. These submarines are amongst the most complex machines that the UK makes and operates, and the Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) is responsible for their design, build, support and decommissioning; including the build and development of the new Dreadnaught Class the next generation of submarine maintaining the UK’s continuous at sea nuclear deterrent.

The SDA’s activity is central to the UK Government’s £178 billion equipment plan for the British Armed Forces, managing one of the largest UK investment programmes in existence, of critical strategic importance. This means we need people with exceptional skills to successfully deliver the programme.
