Project Planning
Project Planning sits at the heart of successful programme delivery. By translating scope and strategy into integrated, logic-linked schedules, Planning teams provide the structure, analysis and foresight needed to coordinate complex activity, manage dependencies and keep major programmes moving forward.
Project Planning roles may involve site, head-office, design, construction or earlier-stage systems work.
We’re recruiting for a range of Project Planning opportunities across multiple disciplines and levels of experience. If you have a background in planning, scheduling or supporting the successful delivery of major projects or programmes, we’d encourage you to apply.
What you’ll be working on
- Developing and maintaining integrated project and programme schedules across design, delivery, testing, commissioning and handover
- Coordinating activities, milestones, dependencies and interfaces across complex projects and work packages
- Monitoring progress against agreed baselines, identifying emerging trends, risks, opportunities and potential delays
- Reviewing and assuring contractor and supply chain schedules, progress updates and supporting programme information
- Assessing the schedule impact of change and supporting scenario planning, mitigation and recovery activities
- Working collaboratively with project teams, delivery partners and the wider supply chain to provide planning insight and support successful programme delivery
Who we’re looking for
Experience of working within complex infrastructure, engineering, transportation or major capital programmes would be advantageous, although we’re keen to hear from candidates from a range of sectors where effective planning and scheduling are fundamental to successful delivery.
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:
- Experience supporting the planning and scheduling of complex projects or programmes
- The ability to develop, maintain and analyse logic-linked project schedules
- An understanding of critical paths, milestones, dependencies, interfaces and schedule risk
- The ability to interpret programme information and communicate meaningful insights to stakeholders
- A collaborative approach, with the confidence to engage and influence across multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with planning tools and methodologies, such as Primavera P6 or similar enterprise scheduling systems, alongside an understanding of baseline and change management principles
