At a time when more people are recognising how powerful horses can be in improving health, wellbeing and inclusion, RDA’s mission has never been more relevant.

RDA is the only major UK charity specifically dedicated to the therapeutic and life changing benefits of bringing disabled people and horses together. We enrich the lives of over 39,000 disabled children and adults each year through riding, carriage driving and a growing range of equine assisted programmes.

As a Trustee, you will bring your skills, insight, and experience to help shape the future of a much loved national charity at a genuinely exciting point in its development.

The Board and Executive Team are driving a period of strategic development focused on strengthening the organisation’s long term sustainability, widening access, and increasing participation, and ensuring RDA remains fit for the future.

As a Board member, you will help to provide strategic leadership and oversight to RDA UK, ensuring strong governance, sound decision making and responsible stewardship of the charity’s resources and reputation. Trustees work closely with the Executive Team to support delivery of the organisation’s strategy, strengthen relationships across the federation, and help RDA respond to growing demand for its services.

This makes it a pivotal and inspiring time to join RDA UK. The Board is committed to ensuring the organisation has the resilience, governance, partnerships, and resources it needs to grow its impact and support even more disabled people in communities across the UK.

We are now seeking to appoint two Trustees as part of our ongoing succession planning These appointments will bring complementary expertise to support the Board’s work: one Trustee with strong finance experience, and one with significant experience from within RDA’s member groups.
