Senior Quality Officer (Governance)

The role will provide senior administrative leadership for Academic Governance and Policy, managing the effective functioning of the Academic Governance structure and committees, including acting as clerk to senior committees and coordinating consistent committee support. You will manage the effective functioning of the Academic Governance structure and committees and act as Secretary/Clerk to senior committees and coordinate consistent committee support, and maintain the University Register of Policy and Procedures, working with Academic colleagues ensuring that policies and procedures are both responsive to the University’s needs and effective in practice. Responsible for drafting key communications to support staff in effective engagement and compliance with regulatory requirements and to support students in understanding University academic functions and quality assurance, and key reports, briefings and policy documentation particularly in relation to External Regulation, conducting further analysis, planning and research where necessary. You will offer authoritative advice and support to internal and external colleagues with regard to quality assurance and academic governance. Working with senior staff in Quality Assurance and Enhancement and across the institution to facilitate and contribute to the submission, scrutiny, and completion of proposals emanating from the committee structures. You will scrutinise monitor and audit key areas of quality assurance practice to ensure compliance and identify areas for enhancement. This is a fixed term contract for 3 months based on a hybrid model of working
