Our Higher Education client is creating a new Head of Project Management Office role to strengthen delivery of the University’s transformation and change agenda. This is a senior post initially reporting directly to our COO, focused on establishing and leading a professional, customer-focused PMO that embeds consistent governance, assurance, and delivery frameworks across the institution.
As Head of the PMO, you will establish, lead, and continuously improve a professional, customer-focused function that enables effective delivery of transformation and change across the University.
Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Team, you will:
- Build and embed a standardised project and programme framework aligned to our strategy and culture.
- Provide assurance and insight to senior sponsors, enabling informed decision-making.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing PMO team.
- Champion a collaborative, evidence-based approach to change, drawing on business analysis, benefits management and continuous improvement methodologies.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and values-driven leader to shape a function from the ground up and ensure our projects deliver real impact for students, colleagues and partners.
The right person will have previous experience as Head of PMO, ideally within a Higher Education or comparable public sector environment.
