Head of Fundraising and Events
Client: Confidential/Charity
Location: Remote working
Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 per year
Working pattern: Full-time. A compressed four-day week may be considered.
About the role
We’re looking for a fundraising and events professional to help strengthen our income generation and deliver a purposeful programme of fundraising events. This is an opportunity to build on what has worked, develop a more consistent fundraising pipeline, and make sure events are planned around clear fundraising goals, not simply held for their own sake.
You’ll work closely with the organisation’s leadership and senior stakeholders. Some event planning is already underway, including a launch reception, a fundraising gala and funder cultivation dinners, with external hospitality support being explored for the gala.
Key responsibilities
• Develop and maintain a fundraising pipeline, identifying opportunities across grants, bids and corporate fundraising.
• Help set fundraising priorities and targets, using past results and available data to shape future activity.
• Plan and coordinate the organisation’s fundraising events, including the launch reception, gala and funder cultivation dinners.
• Connect the events programme to wider income-generation goals and assess what is working.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver events.
• Identify opportunities to develop fundraising activity as the organisation and its income pipeline grow.
About you
You’ll bring experience in fundraising and event delivery, ideally with a track record of connecting events to income generation. Experience with grant applications, bid writing or developing a fundraising pipeline would be especially valuable.
You’ll be comfortable adapting plans as priorities change, working collaboratively with senior stakeholders, and taking an evidence-informed approach to deciding which fundraising activities to pursue.
