Lead Consultants – Nuclear Programme

Location: UK & France (multi-site deployment)

Engagement Type: Contract (Day Rate)

Duration: 12–24 months

Start Date: Target June

Programme Overview

We are supporting a major UK–France nuclear collaboration programme focused on the rebuild, installation and commissioning of advanced X-ray radiography systems used in highly regulated environments. This programme involves complex engineering challenges across mechanical, electrical, and construction disciplines, supporting critical infrastructure in secure, high-specification facilities

Roles Available

We are seeking multiple consultants across the following disciplines:

  • Mechanical Engineering Leads / Construction Consultants 
  • Commissioning Leads 
  • EC&I / Electrical Engineers

Scope of Work

Successful candidates will contribute to:

  • Rebuild and reinstallation of specialist X-ray equipment
  • Mechanical construction and assembly activities
  • Commissioning and testing of complex systems
  • Electrical, controls, and instrumentation integration (EC&I)
  • Crane operations and heavy lifting coordination
  • Mechanical handling and installation of large-scale components
  • Supporting system validation and operational readiness

Locations

Work will be delivered across two primary sites:

  • United Kingdom: Berkshire region
  • France: Central France (approx. 2 hours south of Paris)

Candidates should be willing to work across both locations where required.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Experience

  • Strong experience within complex engineering or industrial environments
  • Background in one or more of the following: 

                  o Large-scale industrial plant (e.g. Nuclear, oil & gas, energy, manufacturing)

                  o Construction and commissioning projects

                  o Mechanical or electrical system installation

  • Experience working on multidisciplinary engineering programmes
  • Ability to operate in highly regulated or safety-critical environments

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in nuclear or defence sectors
  • Previous exposure to secure or classified environments
  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure or specialist machinery
  • Familiarity with commissioning or re-commissioning complex systems

Clearance & Compliance

Security Clearance (SC) required (or eligibility to obtain) or DV
