Accuro (Care Services)
Chair of Trustees (Charity)
Location : Saffron Walden, Essex
Commitment: circa 2 days month
Make a life changing impact in your community
Accuro (Care Services) is a small, mighty, and life changing charity that has been empowering children, young people, and adults with learning disabilities across West Essex for more than 40 years. Every day, they help people build confidence, form friendships, access their communities, and live fuller, happier lives. As they look to the future, they’re ready to grow their impact — and we’re supporting them in looking for an exceptional Chair of Trustees to help lead the way.
This is an opportunity for a strategic thinker who thrives on shaping direction and enabling positive change. As Chair, you’ll guide the Board through an exciting period of development, helping strengthen their governance, drive sustainable growth, and champion innovation in the services provided. Your leadership will directly influence how they expand their reach and deepen their impact for local families.
You’ll work closely with the charities passionate Chief Executive and dedicated Board, ensuring they make smart, bold decisions that stay true to the charity values. Whether you’re enabling effective governance, opening doors to new partnerships, or inspiring others to get behind our mission, your influence will help set the course for Accuro’s next chapter. This is hands on, purposeful leadership — but with a manageable commitment of around two days per month.
We’re seeking someone ideally within 45 minutes of Saffron Walden who brings energy, insight, and heart. If you want to use your experience to make a real difference — to lead a charity that feels deeply personal to the communities it serves — this is your chance. Help shape a future where people with learning disabilities can live lives filled with choice, independence, and joy.
