Our story begins in 1990 at PwC, where a specialist executive recruitment arm is developed to serve public sector clients.

In 2002, the business is acquired by Capita Plc and is rebranded as Veredus - a Latin word meaning ‘swift hunter.’

Over the next two decades, Veredus expands its expertise and offerings, beginning in 2006 when we take our first steps into leadership assessment services, hiring a chartered psychologist to meet growing client demand for robust, independent insight into leadership potential.

In 2012, Capita acquires Momentum, a company dedicated to recruitment of cyber and security services.

Capita Executive Recruitment is formed in 2014 as a sister firm to Veredus, offering the same services to the regulated markets as we do to the public sector.

Also in 2014, Capita purchases
The Write Research Company – a talent-focused data mapping, insight and research organisation.

The decision is made in 2019 to bring together these complementary businesses under the Veredus brand, creating a unified, holistic talent consultancy built on shared values, trusted delivery and sector depth.

Inspirit Capital, a private equity firm, purchases Veredus from Capita in 2023, alongside other people- and human-capital businesses, with a view to divesting, investing and future-proofing them.

In 2024, Veredus Executive Ltd is established as a limited company where, with the support, guidance and investment of Inspirit, we continue our evolution. We remain grounded in our purpose: delivering outstanding leadership using evidence, empathy and expertise.
