Founded by the merger of Angus College and Dundee College in 2013, Dundee and Angus College is the regional college for the Angus and Dundee area. We recruit around 17,000 students each year (c.5,500 of these are full-time students) and have a motivated and committed team of just under 1,000 staff.
Operating from three main campuses in Dundee and Arbroath, the College has a strong reputation for enterprise, innovation, quality and partnership working, and regularly achieves some of the highest success rates for students in Scotland.
We are now seeking a Principal to lead the College through the next stages in its growth and to create more successful students in an already sector-leading organisation.
Accountable to the Chair of the Dundee and Angus College Board, the Principal is the most senior member of the College’s Executive Leadership Team, with the other members (Vice Principals and Directors) reporting to this role.

To deliver the College’s mission to generate regional economic growth and social well-being through the provision of skills and education for individuals, employers and the wider community.
The successful candidate will have a significant and successful track record of strategic leadership and management at senior level in a complex environment. They will be a respected and inspirational leader and have extensive experience of building valuable and influential relationships with individuals and organisations at a local and national level. Knowledge of the complex educational and political environment within which the College operates is essential. An innovative thinker with a real sense of purpose and courage is required to represent and lead the College with passion and credibility.
