I am working with a care and education provider based in the Midlands and North of England that is looking to recruit an interim Head of Learning and Development. This role is to begin by the end of February (when the current post-holder leaves) for a period of up to 6 months. The organisation is headquartered in the West Midlands but will require lots of on- site visits to its children’s homes and schools in the Midlands and North of England. This will include week-long induction training which involves personal intervention so it has to be undertaken on a face to face basis.
The schools and children’s homes support children from the age of 7 years, who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties and a range of other needs, including ADHD and autism. Many pupils will have formal diagnoses and an Education, Health and Care Plan.
You will have recent experience as a Learning and Development/Training Manager in a Children’s Care and/or Education setting with a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
