We are delighted to be working with a university in the South East of England who are looking to recruit an EDI Manager on an interim basis for between 3 and 4 months. This role could be for an immediate start though the client is happy to wait for an April start for the right candidate.
The client can be very flexible with regards to the assignment, with the possibility of engaging someone on a 3 day a week basis with one day working from home.
You will ideally have done a similar role in the HE sector but candidates from outside the sector who have the relevant skillset may be considered.
Some key focus areas will include
Supporting the work on the access and participation plan – particularly in relation to improving the attainment and progression of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) students
Helping the university to prepare the ground to become a member of the Race Equality Charter before the end of 2020
Helping the university to create innovation in the EDI space – you should be able to give recent examples of modern EDI initiatives
You will be reporting in to the Director of HR and OD who is the strategic lead for EDI.
