We are a values-led institution that is truly like no other, with five campuses located around the world that excel in teaching, research, and wider societal impact. This is an exciting time as we celebrate our founding bicentenary and embark on our new strategy, Strategy 2025, to become world-leading in all we do and continue to fulfil our mission to create and exchange knowledge that benefits society. Named as ‘International University of the Year’ in the 2018 Times and Sunday Times University Guide, we are specialists in engineering, business and science and leaders in innovative global education for a future world.
We are now seeking an exceptional individual to lead the School of Engineering & Physical Sciences (EPS) as we look set to continue our successful strategy placing us at the leading edge in our disciplines. The School of EPS has an excellent international research reputation and close ties with the professional and industrial world of science, engineering and technology. Over 3,000 students study in the School in Scotland, Dubai and Malaysia, including more than 600 postgraduate students. The School has a broad offering that cuts across engineering and the physical sciences, and includes unique interdisciplinary degrees bringing together subjects such as photonics and cybertronics. The diversity of the EPS portfolio reflects the interdisciplinary nature of our outstanding, large-scale research with the School winning around half the institution’s £40m of annual research income.
