An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead a new and ground-breaking Academic School. You will be joining our dynamic and energetic executive and senior management teams, to help realise Teesside 2020, our new corporate strategy to build on over a decade of growth and innovation.
Teesside University is a modern university with a global reach; proud of our 85-year heritage and of our commitment to putting students at the heart of everything we do through significant investment in our estate, innovative teaching and research, and our unrivalled links with industry and the professions.
Working to the Vice Chancellor, you will lead the re-establishment of the Business School as a stand-alone academic unit as it decouples from the School of Social Sciences, Business and Law. You will drive the growth aspirations and future plans that aim to build a substantial modern, dynamic School that blends academic excellence, entrepreneurial thinking and work-place reality in the development of high quality, work-ready graduates, and to provide them with the best opportunities to achieve their ambitions and potential and to make a difference in the world.
Successful candidates will be proven academic leaders who can demonstrate close engagement with industry. You will have experience developing entrepreneurial portfolios that both attracts students into Teesside and provides them with excellent foundations for career success.
The Tees Valley is an enjoyable place to live – in the heart of the North of England’s coastline and countryside, with easy access to Durham, Newcastle and York.
