We are now investing to strengthen and deepen our coverage of Chemical Engineering and are looking to appoint to a new position of Chair of Chemical Engineering Technology and Director of the Chemical Engineering Discipline. The Chair will provide strategic leadership and management of teaching activity in the Chemical Engineering Discipline and will maintain and develop the international excellence of the School’s teaching in chemical engineering. The Chair will also provide intellectual vision and strategic direction for research, working in close collaboration within one of our seven Research Institutes.

You will already be an internationally prominent Chemical Engineering researcher or practitioner with a successful track record of leadership and management in academia and/or industry. You will have experience of winning research funding and of delivering excellent research outcomes, including collaborative research with industry. You will be required to create and maintain a positive and collegiate environment within the Discipline and will therefore have proven ability to empower, enable, motivate and challenge, whilst respecting the consultative traditions of the School and University.
