For almost 75 years, AWE have proudly played a role of critical national importance: helping deliver the UK’s nuclear deterrent, preserve peace, prevent coercion and deter aggression.

They are at the forefront of nuclear technology and innovation: from continuously delivering the warheads to ensure, and assure, the UK’s Continuous at Sea Deterrent, to pioneering novel solutions to deter threats and counter terrorism – always delivering to keep our nation safe and secure.
