John Laycock
John joined Veredus Executive Search & Selection in 2001, transferring to the Interim Management team in September 2002. Prior to this, John worked in the civil service in a number of Education roles. Since his transfer to the Interim Management team, John has been involved in this development of our service to the Education Sector and Criminal Justice Sector and now heads up our Interim Management practice.
James Cleary
James joined Veredus in May 2007 as a Business Manager working with Central Government partners to recruit senior Interim Managers, predominately within the Criminal Justice Sector. James joined Veredus from the Home Office where he project managed several large volume recruitment campaigns for senior board members within the National Probation Service. He is a qualified PRINCE2 practitioner and a member of the Association of Project Managers. James is also a Commissioned Officer in the Royal Corps of Signals (V).
Rachel Silverwood
Rachel, a Geography graduate from University of Northumbria, has over 8 years recruitment experience. Before joining Veredus she was recruiting for various interim positions across the public sector in London including work with central government departments, charities, educational institutes and local authorities. Rachel has been a Business Manager within the Veredus Interim Management team since 2003. She specialises in interim appointments into the health sector,( both public and private), across the UK and adult social care market.
Helen Wilson
Helen joined Veredus in November 2002 as an executive search and selection consultant. She specialised in recruiting to senior level posts in local government specialising in Children’s Services, Adult Services and senior corporate roles. Helen joined Interim Management in September 2006, specialising in recruiting interims for local government and regeneration in the north and midlands. This includes interim chief executives, executive directors and senior managers across a range of functions.
Sara Livesey
Sara joined Veredus Interim Management in 2005. Based in London she is currently leading on interim recruitment to the Not for Profit and Cultural Sectors. Previously a Director at Hays Personnel Services, Sara has over 20 years experience in recruitment consultancy and has worked within both the private and public sectors including 2 years in financial recruitment in Australia.
Catherine Kift
Catherine joined the London office of Veredus Interim Management in July 2005 to concentrate on further developing the Local Government, Regeneration and Housing markets in London , The South and Wales. Catherine is a Social Sciences graduate who started off her career in the banking sector and then moved into financial recruitment in 2001. In this role she was responsible for securing roles for Financial professionals across the public and third sectors. At Veredus Catherine recruits Interim Managers for all disciplines including HR, Legal and Housing professionals to Programme Directors, Change Managers and Project Managers.
Karen Camilleri
Karen joined Capita RAS in December 2001 where she focused on the recruitment of middle to senior interim managers within the Central Government sector. She transferred to the London based Veredus interim management team in April 2006 where she works within the Central Government route to market focusing on the Criminal Justice sector, Ministry of Defence and other Government Departments. Originally a Social Policy Masters Graduate from Southampton University, Karen has spent 8 years in the Recruitment Industry and prior to working in the public sector, she worked within the private sector specalising in Executive Search and Contingency Recruitment within the IT and Telecommunications market place, covering UK and Europe.
Anna Jay-Booth
Anna joined Veredus in January 2004 and assisted in establishing an interim team in Birmingham. She is now a consultant, specialising in recruiting senior interims to Public Sector organisations across the wider Midlands and South Wales. Whilst her initial focus was on the Social Care and Education markets, she is now responsible for interim recruitment across the wider local government market and regeneration organisations.
Anna has 6 years experience in the recruitment industry which she commenced in the commercial sector, focusing on permanent customer service, sales and support roles
Craig Clarke
Craig is responsible for the appointment of interim managers within both Children’s and Adult’s services within a Local Authority setting across the South of the country. He has worked within the recruitment industry since 1997 across a wide range of industry sectors and professional groups. For the last 6 years Craig has specialised in senior interim management appointments within the public sector arena with a particular emphasis within Health, Social Care and Education. Over the last two years Craig has specialised further in that he now primarily appoints Executive Directors, Assistant Directors and senior Project/Programme Managers within adult’s and children’s services.
Joanna Walsh
Joanna joined Veredus Interim Management in 2007, initially working across both the Local Goverment and charity sectors. She now focuses on Local Government and Housing Association interim appointments in London and the South. With five years previous experience gained largely working with not for profit sector clients, she has experience of permanent, temporary and contract recruitment. Prior to joining Veredus, Joanna worked for a third sector specialist agency placing fundraising, marketing and PR professionals into UK charities.
Guy James
Guy joined the Interim Management team in September 2007 to concentrate on senior Interim appointments in the private sector. Guy has over twelve years experience of hiring at Board and near board levels, most recently five years at Armadillo Executive Resourcing where his work was mainly within Retail, Consumer and Professional Services firms. Guy will continue to develop the Veredus offering in these sectors across all disciplines and assist in developing the IM practice as a whole.
Julie Colvin
Julie joined the Interim Management team in April 2006 and is an Assistant Consultant working with John Laycock, assisting him on Education assignments, and with Craig Clarke assisting him on Children’s and Adult Social Care assignments in the South of England. Prior to joining the Interim Management team, Julie worked for Veredus Executive Search and Selection for 5 years. She has a BSc in Psychology.
Rachael Brady
Rachael, a Business Management graduate from Leeds University, joined the Veredus Interim Management team in Leeds in October 2007. Rachael is an Assistant Consultant who works with Helen Wilson, assisting her on local Government assignments in the North of England and Rachel Silverwood, assisting her on assignments in the Health sector across the UK.
Chris Lain
Chris joined the Veredus Interim Management team in July 2008 as an Assistant Consultant supporting Karen Camilleri and James Cleary in the Central Government and Criminal Justice sector. Chris has several years’ recruitment experience that has covered temporary, permanent and internal recruitment into both the private and public sector. He has most recently spent the last year working in internal recruitment environment for an IT recruitment agency recruiting a variety of different roles ranging from recruitment consultants to senior level managers.
Dianne Strauss
Prior to joining Veredus Interim Management in August 2008, Dianne was employed by Hays as Director of Sales and Operations – Hays Healthcare and Hays Social Care. She was formerly MD of Recruitment Solutions Group, which was purchased by Hays in Feb 2006. Dianne has more than a decade of experience in the recruitment industry, all in the healthcare and social care sectors. Before recruitment, she worked in healthcare marketing.
Dianne is a Managing Consultant and will specialise in interim appointments into the public health sector in the South West, Wales and Midlands and the private health sector nationally.
Mike Daniell
Mike joined Veredus in 2008 to work within the Private Sector Interim team. Mike has several years experience of working within the Interim market having previously been employed as Director of Client Services at Praxis where he focussed on placing Interims within a range of businesses, from major PLCs to SMEs in a broad spectrum of commercial and industrial activities. With a focus on Technology and Financial Service clients, Mike will continue to expand the Veredus offering in these areas as well as continuing to develop the Private sector Interim brand nationally.
Simon Winspear
Simon joined Veredus in September 2008 to focus on delivering Interim Management solutions to a client portfolio in Central Government. He joins from Hays Executive, where he has spent four years developing an Interim Management offering for the business across the wider Public Services arena. Key clients in the new portfolio include Department of Work & Pensions, HMRC, DCMS and their associated organisations. Simon brings a track record of appointing interim cover for SCS Line Management roles as well as a number of appointments leading large scale change exercises. Overall Simon has 12 years experience in appointing Senior Management & Director level roles and has delivered key appointments in both the Private and Public Sectors. Simon will be based in the London Office.
Jessica Cairns
Jessica joined Veredus Executive Search & Selection in 2003 and transferred to the Interim Management team in 2005. She is an Assistant Consultant working with Catherine Kift and Joanna Walsh, assisting them on Local Government assignments in the South, and with Sara Livesey assisting her on third sector and the cultural sector interim roles nationally.
