Veredus has a dedicated Research Team that supports our search for leadership talent both in the UK and abroad.

Based across all five of our UK regional offices, our researchers are international, multi-lingual, and experienced in identifying leadership talent. They come from very diverse backgrounds and speak 10 languages between them.

With over 50 years’ combined executive search experience and a variety of professional backgrounds, our researchers are sector experts and/or functional specialists who have been highly trained in their areas of expertise and have developed in-depth knowledge of their specialist markets.

Our Research Team conducts some 300 searches each year across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Every project is bespoke and each assignment begins with original research. Executive search is not just about rifling through an address book to call people you already know. It is about finding talented people you do not know. It is also about having an open and informed mind about where these people might be.

This is why search can be such a powerful tool in advancing diversity. We do not believe in using the ’same old names’ for one assignment after another, but instead aim to gain an in-depth understanding of the client and the position and then find the right candidate to fill it. In fact, we typically call over 100 potential candidates, which we find through fresh research. This is in addition to the professional networks and contacts of our senior headhunters.

Networks are important and, as the market leader in executive search, our networks are the best. They are no more important, however, than discovering new talent through lateral thinking, the exploitation of information resources (especially electronic media), and persistent research. Our researchers have access to a wide range of online databases, which provide international as well as UK reach. An executive search conducted by Veredus is a rigorous, informed, creative and fair process, which aims to identify the best possible selection of candidates for the post we have been commissioned to fill. We also bring significant added value to clients through our sector research and knowledge, providing detailed market feedback as a matter of course.
