Description:
This Midlands based Authority is seeking an interim Head of Sustainability & Climate change for an initial period of 6 months.
This is a newly established post so it will be an exciting opportunity for someone to oversee their emerging strategic approach towards Climate Change, Sustainable Waste Management and Energy Management. There is a clear need for greater impetus surrounding this rapidly moving agenda. The Climate Change team will also combine waste strategy and development, energy management and sustainability. The role will include working alongside partners, businesses and government agencies and will achieve the re-modeling to a low carbon city.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate specialist knowledge and experience in Climate Change, Sustainability & Renewal Energy and have experience in service delivery and performance management at a senior level.
