How do I start?

Talk to us; one of our Business Managers will take a full brief and let you know how or where we can help.

We recommend face to face meetings to ensure a thorough grasp of your needs however where time is short this may not be practical.

The Business Manager will look to establish:

  • The background to your situation
  • Relevant details about your organisation – scale, location, reporting relationships, culture, current issues etc
  • The nature of the task and the anticipated deliverables
  • The essential and desirable know how, experience and personal qualities required
  • The name of the sponsor and the key stakeholders critical to success
  • The anticipated length of the assignment.

Basically the what, the where, the when and the why.

How long will it take?

We will agree a date with you to receive the shortlist.

We look to a typical 72 hour turnaround from receiving the brief but it could be quicker.

However if you require a specific combination of skills and experience and we have to target more specifically this may take longer.

How much will it cost?

Interim managers are charged at daily rate, so you only pay for days worked.

Interim Management is not an expensive solution compared to the real costs of an equivalent permanent employee….. (employer costs can add 50% or more e.g. Recruitment fees, bonus, share options, benefits, training and development, NI, potential redundancy costs, notice periods etc).

We recommend you compare the costs of interim management with the cumulative cost of the problem unresolved or your desired business benefit not being delivered.

What are the contractual commitments?

The Interim Manager operates through a limited company with a ‘back to back’ contract with Veredus, you have no employment liability.

The Terms of Reference are fixed within the first three weeks of the assignment. Regular reviews against the Terms of Reference ensure deliverables and milestones are met, culminating in the End of Assignment review where the work is signed off against them.

You only pay for the days the Interim Manager works; expenses for travel and accommodation usually follow your corporate practices.

Typically two weeks’ notice is required on either side within the first three months, extending to four weeks thereafter.

The Veredus Business Manager is there to help, he or she will maintain regular contact with both you and the Interim Manager during the course of the assignment.

How does Veredus ensure quality?

All interim managers are rigorously assessed through in-depth interviewing, referencing and verification of qualifications.

During the assignment the interim manager is required to provide the Veredus with regular reports on progress.

Veredus Business Managers make regular on-site reviews during the course of an assignment and maintain regular contact with both you and the Interim Manager.

Veredus offers a free Interim Management Workshop for individuals seeking to learn about Interim Management or considering becoming Interim Managers.
