Interim Management - A safe pair of hands
Veredus was contacted in the autumn of 2007 by YWCA’s Chair, Christine Freshwater. They found themselves in the unfortunate position of suddenly being without a Chief Executive and the Board of Trustees had agreed that a “safe pair of hands” was needed with immediate effect on an interim basis. The brief was to stabilise the organisation and to provide leadership and direction until such a time that a new permanent Chief Executive could be appointed.
Veredus Interim Management’s Not for Profit Lead Consultant, Sara Livesey comments “This was a classic assignment for an Interim Manager – get in and steady the ship after an unsettling period and provide good leadership in the following months”.
Veredus fielded four potential candidates – all with experience of managing change within the sector at Chief Executive level. The successful candidate was new to Interim Management and was seeking new challenges; the YWCA assignment provided just that.
Subsequently Veredus were invited to put a proposal in for the recruitment of the permanent Chief Executive which they were awarded.
