Overview - Formed in 2007 following the demerger of National Car Parks into two separate businesses, NSL is an expert outsource services provider employing over 5,000 people here in the UK across Enforcement Solutions (on-street parking), Business Processing (and Penalty Charge Notice processing), Passenger Transport (Air Transport Solutions / Patient Care Services) and Consultancy business areas. Additionally it has a thriving international business providing world class parking management solutions in the Middle East.
The Challenge - Veredus’s brief was to find someone who had a proven track record of significant achievement in operating at the commercial interface between private and public sector service provision; someone the Chief Executive would have confidence in representing the business at the highest levels of Executive decision-making whilst at the same time being able to bring a broader perspective to the opportunities of outsourced services and NSL’s capabilities.
The Solution - Following an extensive UK wide search Dale Wood was appointed from business processing provider Liberata. With extensive knowledge and experience of outsourcing in the public sector, managing some of the largest outsourced contracts in local government, Dale’s appointment reaffirmed NSL’s commitment to the growing need for labour, process and technological efficiencies in the public sector.
