Group Head of Compliance - FTSE100

09 July 2011

Our client is the UK’s leading outsourcer and a prominent member of the FTSE-100. They are also the leading outsourcer in the Financial Services community, a highly regulated industry that is undergoing significant change, much of it in the public eye. Reflecting this position they decided to appoint a new Group Head of Compliance with specific financial services experience.

This was a challenging assignment as almost all senior compliance roles and, therefore, all potential candidates sat within the major financial institutions including banks and life & pension companies. Veredus had to construct and ‘sell’ the proposition to these of a move to the outsourcing industry, working with the client to make this compelling from a career development perspective.

While the search focussed on the UK in order to comply with local regulatory demands, we were led to candidates from much further afield. Ultimately a shortlist of three was presented, all of whom the client would have been happy to appoint. This left them in the attractive position of being able to make a choice on much finer detail that they had expected and culminated in an appointment that delighted all.
